Rinker approached SmartShield Packaging with an ongoing issue: their demonstration unit, transported in a sturdy DeWalt case, was suffering damage within the case, during travel to trade shows. Our team designed and produced a custom foam insert system precisely tailored to Rinker’s existing DeWalt case. The new inserts were engineered to secure each component in place, preventing movement and impact damage during transit.
To make the case more functional, we added removable pockets for power cables and manuals. This gave the Rinker team a simple, organised way to pack and unpack their demo unit.
The result was a professional, reusable transport solution that eliminated in-transit damage, saved costs on repairs, and allowed Rinker to arrive at every trade show ready to showcase their product with confidence.
The new foam inserts delivered instant results. Rinker’s demo unit has now travelled safely to multiple trade shows with zero in-transit damage. The improved organisation and removable compartments also made setup and repacking much faster, saving the team time while keeping everything presentation-ready.
