As the year draws to a close, we’re taking a moment to look back at some of our favourite memories from 2025. From pancakes to pumpkin towers, and a milestone 21 years in business, this year reminded us just how much we love what we do, and the people we do it with.
Here are a few of the moments that made this year one to remember.
Back in March, we traded our packaging tools for spatulas and got creative in the kitchen.
We flipping love Pancake Day here at SmartShield, and we weren’t shy about showing it. From towering stacks to teddy bear designs and even elephant-shaped pancakes (well… almost!), our team went all out.
It was the perfect way to start the day, full of laughter, a bit of friendly competition, and plenty of syrup-fuelled energy before getting back to what we do best - protecting what matters most!
The highlight of the year? It had to be our 21st anniversary celebration.
We marked 21 years of packaging done right with one of our signature SmartShield team days, a mix of games, great food, and even better company.
From early morning Tim Hortons donuts to sunshine and challenges - including the Big Feet Relay Race, Connect Four, Giant Jenga, a Tug of War and more - it was a day full of laughs and mostly friendly competition!
Fuelled by a tasty lunch from The Schmuck Truck and plenty of team spirit, we also took time to get together and reflect.
This looked like sharing goals, kudos, and celebrating colleagues who live our SMART values (Spirited, Mindful, Adaptable, Reliable, and Team Player).
The feedback said it all when we gathered written notes from the team: “By far the best day at work!”
A brilliant day and milestone for a team that works hard and plays hard together!
When autumn rolled around, we kept the fun going with a seasonal twist.
Our Fall Event was packed with good food, laughter, and a little friendly rivalry.
After a burger lunch (with pies for dessert!) the games began in earnest:
Pumpkin weight-guessing, the Pumpkin Tower, Pass the Pumpkin, and the Pumpkin Relay Tournament went up alongside the Candy Jar Challenge and SmartShield Trivia. Let’s just say, there was a lot of laughter.
As you can see it was quite heavily pumpkin themed!
As we wrap up another busy, brilliant year, we’re feeling grateful. For our incredible team, our valued clients, the projects that keep us inspired, and all the fun we have along the way! From all of us at SmartShield, thank you for following our journey.
