Nearly four years into her SmartShield journey, Christy, our Inside Sales Representative, is one of the friendly, knowledgeable voices helping customers find the right packaging solutions - even when timelines are tight.
From managing enquiries to coordinating quick-turn projects, Christy plays a key role in ensuring our clients’ products are protected and delivered safely.

In our foam production department, leadership and technical expertise are key.
Michelle, our Foam Production Team Lead, oversees the fabrication of precision-engineered inserts designed to protect mission-critical equipment, while Jeethu leads the night shift with the same commitment to quality and accuracy.
Across the department, skilled team members operate CNC and waterjet machines, carry out heat sealing and heat shaping, and complete detailed assembly and finishing work to exact specifications. It’s a collaborative effort, with both women and men playing essential roles, and every contribution matters.
Working with advanced machinery and detailed technical drawings, the team ensures every foam fitment meets exact standards, delivering the performance and protection our clients depend on across the aerospace, medical and defence sectors.
Supporting our sales team on the road, Kassandra and Janelle play an essential operational role.
From scheduling appointments or entering detailed project notes to preparing presentation packages and samples, they help ensure our external team can focus on building relationships - while everything behind the scenes runs smoothly and efficiently.
Across the wider business, female colleagues in executive support, human resources, and purchasing and operations help keep SmartShield running efficiently and aligned. From coordinating leadership priorities and supporting team development to managing materials and processes - often drawing on cross-department experience - these contributions ensure every project moves forward smoothly.
It’s a reminder that at SmartShield, every role, whether customer-facing, operational, technical or administrative, contributes to the performance our clients rely on.
In marketing and events, Angie helps tell the SmartShield story, connecting our engineering expertise with the industries we serve.
Whether supporting trade shows or shaping brand communications, she makes sure our brand presence reflects the innovation and technical skills happening behind the scenes every day.
The packaging and manufacturing sectors haven’t always been known for gender balance. At SmartShield, we’re proud of the culture we’ve built - one where women are integral across departments, from the office floor to the production floor.
