Hammer Tackers are operated slightly differently to staplers, rather than applying pressure to close 2 jaws to clinch the staple legs, a hammer tacker staple leg goes straight into the material without bending. It is used with a high velocity slapping or swinging motion similar to that of a hammer, to tack material to a flat surface. They are often used as a replacement for nails or glue for a variety of applications including; insulation, roofing tar paper, carpeting, wood and vinyl flooring, poly sheeting fastening and more.
